FIRST ON FOX: Georgia Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff, described by CNN as the nation’s “most endangered Senate Democrat,” has touted “an unstoppable grassroots coalition.” But, according to the latest Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings released, his campaign is being propped up by a lot of out-of-state money.

Ossoff’s latest quarterly filing shows that more than 80% of the money he raised last period came from out-of-state donors. The report, which details contributions from individuals who have given at least $200 this cycle, also reveals that over half of his maxed-out donors hail from California, New York or the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region.

After the release of an October filing, Ossoff’s team touted in a press release that, in the face of “heavy spending from GOP Super PACs,” it raised $12 million during the last third-quarter filing period that runs from July 1 through Sept. 30.

The same press release said Ossoff’s “re-election juggernaut” was “overwhelmingly” powered by small donors with an average of $36 from approximately 233,000 donors. If a donor has not given an aggregate of at least $200, that donor’s contribution remains undisclosed in FEC filings.

Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., has raked in a lot of money from out-of-state donors. Some GOP critics and Capitol Hill insiders have posited that the Georgia Democrat cannot break rank and vote to reopen the government, or he could risk losing his significant support from liberals around the country.  (Megan Varner/Getty Images)

Ossoff is running for re-election in a state Trump won in 2024, albeit by a thin two-point margin. He first arrived in Congress in 2021 after defeating incumbent Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga., in a razor-thin election that required a runoff. During that first election cycle, according to The Washington Free Beacon, Ossoff raised 60% of his contributions from outside the state of Georgia.

According to Ossoff’s recent October FEC filing, California is leading the pack in terms of the most donations to his campaign during the third quarter, totaling about 20% of all donations. Georgia is second with about 17.5%.

But when it comes to donors who have maxed out their contribution limits, more of those political donors came from California (33.3%) New York (15.65%) and Massachusetts (10.8%) than from Georgia, which accounted for only 6.1% of maxed-out donors who contributed to Ossoff in the third quarter.

Given Ossoff’s vulnerability heading into Election Day, GOP strategists and Senate sources say the Georgia Democrat is unlikely to break with his party to vote for reopening the government, fearing it could cost him crucial support from liberal donors nationwide.

“There is no middle ground for him when it comes to these big decisions that have to be made, and I think the shutdown proves that,” Ryan Mahoney, a Georgia-based GOP strategist who has worked with Republican senators in the state told The Washington Examiner.

“His calculus is, ‘Do I vote to open the government up and get crushed and can’t raise a single dollar of low-dollar money, or do I vote to shut the government down and get $3 million [from online fundraising]?’” a Democratic Party insider also told The Hill.

The president of the Young Democrats at University of Texas at Tyler (UT-Tyler) initiated the idea to collaborate with Turning Point USA for an event with hopes of fostering bipartisanship in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

“I essentially suggested the idea that we do some sort of event or debate. And this was right after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, so I also thought it would breed some level of bipartisanship and maybe stop us from being so polarized,” Marcus Emmanuel, a first-year student political science major, told Fox News Digital.

“We’ve been talking with the Young Democrats on our campus, and they’ve been very open to having a debate, which is very exciting. They’ve been really looking forward to working with us,” Reese Cooper, president of UT-Tyler’s TPUSA chapter, told Fox News Digital.

SHOCK AND RESOLVE: STUDENTS REFLECT ON CHARLIE KIRK’S DEATH, FUTURE OF CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT

The president of the Young Democrats at University of Texas at Tyler (UT-Tyler) initiated the idea to collaborate with Turning Point USA for an event with hopes of fostering bipartisanship in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Kirk was killed while speaking on the campus of Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.

Kirk built a following by touring the country to debate college students on culture-war issues such as gender ideology, racial divisions and the merits of Christian and American values in general.

He left behind a wife, Erika, and two young children. Ever since his death, Turning Point USA — the organization he founded — has beencatapulted into prominence and received overwhelming support.

Emmanuel said TPUSA should not be legitimized and hopes to persuade people to join their side after the debate.

“I kind of just want to reference it by saying that the goal isn’t to legitimize what TPUSA stands for. But rather, it’s more of an acknowledgment that the faction in society that agrees with the ideology is too large to isolate or ignore,” he added.

YEARS OF CAMPUS ATTACKS ON CONSERVATIVE ACTIVISTS RESURFACE AFTER CHARLIE KIRK’S MURDER

He continued, “The only way in which you can combat it is by engaging in dialogue with them. So my goal for the debate is to go about discrediting the message through facts and logic.”

Emmanuel said the vice president of the TPUSA chapter at UT-Tyler,Jonathan Roncancio, is in his general friend group. They had a conversation in the library about the TPUSA chapter recently being launched on campus.

“Our hope with Turning Point is to just educate and activate people, as well as create a community on the college campus,” Roncancio told Fox News Digital.

He added, “Our goal is to create a conservative community where people can come and discuss ideas. We really just want to make a free market of ideas that people can use and debate anything that they want to debate. We don’t want to just welcome one idea. Our goal was to create discussion and debate and just host good discussions.”

Emmanuel said that the date of the event is tentative, though expected to occur some time in November.

“I thought that the temperature was way too high, so I wanted to kind of use it as an opportunity to also turn down the temperature and for both sides to realize that the other side is human, even if there’s disagreements between us,” Emmanuel said.

“I don’t think the president of the United States is doing an effective job at kind of turning down the temperature or telling both sides to turn down the temperatures,” he said.

When pressed on why Democrats are using working-class Americans as “leverage” amid the ongoing government shutdown, several Democratic senators offered varying responses — but only one rejected the premise that their party is holding Americans hostage.

“It’s the only lever we have,” Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., responded when asked about the matter.

“We’re doing this because we’re hearing from so many families concerned about their healthcare,” said Sen. Andy Kim, D-N.J. “We’re doing this because we’re hearing from them and wanting to address that.” Kim also blamed President Donald Trump and his allies, arguing that “this administration has been unwilling to actually negotiate.”

DEMOCRATS REFUSE TO BUDGE OVER OBAMACARE FIGHT AS SHUTDOWN DRAGS ON

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., said that the government shutdown is “the only lever” Democrats have to extend Obamacare subsidies, passed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Schumer and Jefferies have asked yet again to talk to Trump before Trump goes on an international trip,” Kim lamented. “When we have all this problem here at home, for the amount of money that Donald Trump has organized to send over to Argentina, we could have funded the ACA subsidies for another year.”

Republicans counter that Democrats are the ones refusing to negotiate, noting the Obamacare subsidies at issue don’t expire until year’s end and can be debated once the government reopens.

“The way I see it, 2024 was about one issue above and beyond all else, and that was about lowering costs,” said Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn.

But, it was swing-state Sen. John Fetterman, D-Penn., who objected to the framing of the question, telling Fox News Digital that “this isn’t a political game.”

“I would never say – I’m not going to describe the lives of millions of Americans as a euphemism, as ‘leverage,'” Fetterman shot back in response to the question. “This isn’t a political game. I’m not checking about how it’s polling or who’s going to blink. Millions of Pennsylvanians are going to lose their SNAP benefits and I think we should have them both at the same time.”

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Penn., said he thinks that negotiations to extend Obamacare subsidies can happen in good faith between Republicans and Democrats once they agree to reopen the government.  (Scott Eisen/Getty Images)

Fetterman, appearing to side with an argument coming from the GOP that the Obamacare subsidies can be negotiated after the government reopens, said he believes there can be “an honest conversation” between Republicans and Democrats once the government gets to a place where it can turn the lights back on.

“I think plenty of [Republicans] are going to want this too – have that conversation – open up this government, because that’s not leverage, this is a fail,” Fetterman said.

Democratic Party members and liberal media outlets have a history of using violent rhetoric or imagery against political opponents that dates back more than a decade.

Texas Democratic House candidate Rep. Jolanda Jones became the latest example on Wednesday after making a throat-slashing gesture while rejecting former first lady Michelle Obama’s famous mantra, “when they go low, we go high,” on CNN’s “Outfront.”

“If you hit me in my face, I’m not going to punch you back in your face. I’m going to go across your neck,” Jones said while making a slashing motion across her neck.

“We can go back-and-forth, fighting each other’s faces. You’ve got to hit hard enough where they won’t come back,” she continued.

SELECTIVE OUTRAGE: TRUMP, DEMOCRATS MAINLY DENOUNCE THE OTHER SIDE’S SCANDALS

Jones’ campaign said she was not speaking literally when reached for comment by Fox News Digital.

Jones’ comments came on the heels of reports that Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner and Virginia attorney general candidate Jay Jones, both Democrats, had written violent messages in the past, including calls for the death of a Republican politician.

Elected Democratic officials have also been guilty of using controversial language when attacking their opponents. In 2018, California Rep. Maxine Waters encouraged supporters at a rally to confront members of the Trump administration and “push back” on them.

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said.

DEMOCRATS HAVE REPEATEDLY USED VIOLENT RHETORIC AGAINST FORMER PRESIDENT: ‘TIME TO PUT TRUMP IN A BULLSEYE’

In 2020, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., warned Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh that they would “pay the price” for hearing an abortion-related case.

In 2023, New York Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., warned that then-candidate Donald Trump was “destructive to our democracy” and needed to be “eliminated.” However, he quickly apologized for his comments, claiming that it was a “poor choice of words.”

Even former President Joe Biden has used heated language against Trump during his time in office, telling donors during a call in 2024 that it was “time to put Trump in the bulls-eye.” This was after repeatedly claiming Trump was a “threat to democracy.”

GOP CONGRESSMAN CLASHES WITH CNN HOST, TELLS NETWORK TO ‘LOOK WITHIN’ OVER HEATED POLITICAL RHETORIC

Outside the political sphere, mainstream media commentators have made controversial comments that appeared to encourage violence.

In 2013, MSNBC anchor Martin Bashir called former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin an “idiot” and “dunce” and told viewers that someone should defecate in Palin’s mouth, invoking an old slave punishment in response to a speech where Palin compared the national debt to slavery. Bashir stepped down from his position weeks later.

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace suggested that media reporters were tempted to “wring” the neck of then-press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in 2018.

CHARLIE KIRK PAINTED AS ‘CONTROVERSIAL,’ ‘PROVOCATIVE’ IN MEDIA’S ASSASSINATION COVERAGE

“How do you resist the temptation to run up and wring her neck? Why can’t she just say, ‘If a staffer said that, we’re going to get to the bottom of it and she’ll be fired?'” Wallace asked on air.

The violent rhetoric extended into Hollywood with several anti-Trump celebrities appearing to advocate for violence against the president.

During the Women’s March in 2017, singer and actress Madonna remarked that she had thought “an awful lot about blowing up the White House.” She later defended her comments, claiming they were “taken wildly out of context” and that she really wanted to effect change “with love.”

That same year, actor Johnny Depp joked at a music festival, “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” before adding, “Maybe it’s time.” He later apologized for his comments, insisting that only meant to “amuse” not harm.

Most notably, comedian Kathy Griffin got attention in 2017 by posting an image of herself holding a realistic replica of Trump’s severed head covered in fake blood. She was later investigated by the Secret Service but has stood by the image as her First Amendment right.

It took four months, but one of the top Democrats in New York State has finally endorsed New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani.

With Election Day closing in, Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York, the top Democrat in the U.S. House, on Friday announced his support for Mamdani, the 33-year-old democratic socialist state lawmaker from the New York City borough of Queens, in a statement to the New York Times.

“Zohran Mamdani has relentlessly focused on addressing the affordability crisis and explicitly committed to being a mayor for all New Yorkers, including those who do not support his candidacy,” Jeffries said.

Jeffries added: “In that spirit, I support him and the entire citywide Democratic ticket in the general election.”

MAMDANI LANDS CRUCIAL ENDORSEMENT IN NYC MAYORAL SHOWDOWN

Jeffries acknowledged in his statement that he has “areas of principled disagreement” with Mamdani.

Jeffries, whose congressional district covers much of neighboring Brooklyn, becomes the second major New York State Democrat to back Mamdani, following a late September endorsement from Gov. Kathy Hochul.

The endorsement from Jeffries comes the day before early voting begins in New York City on Saturday.

The top two Democrats in the New York State legislature backed Mamdani days after the governor announced her support.

The endorsements from Jeffries and Hochul may put intense pressure on longtime Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York, who is the top Democrat in the Senate, to also back Mamdani in an election that is a little over a week away.

Mamdani shocked the political world in June with his convincing win over former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and nine other candidates to capture the Democratic Party’s mayoral nomination in the nation’s most populous city.

The Ugandan-born Mamdani, if elected, would become the first Muslim and first millennial mayor of the nation’s most populous city. He is the clear frontrunner in the latest public opinion polls in the mayoral race in the Democrat-dominated city.

Mamdani is sitting on a large double-digit lead over Cuomo in the latest New York City public opinion polls.

TRUMP REVEALS NEW NICKNAME FOR MAMDANI

Guardian Angels co-founder Curtis Sliwa, who for a second straight election is the Republican mayoral nominee in the Democrat-dominated city, is a distant third in the polls.

New York’s current mayor, the embattled incumbent Eric Adams, had decided to run as an independent but announced late last month that he would no longer pursue the office amid anemic polling. President Donald Trump’s advisors had floated administration roles for both mayoral hopefuls.

This week, Adams endorsed Cuomo, even though the two had repeatedly clashed earlier this year on the campaign trail.

Mamdani surged to the Democratic primary victory thanks to an energetic campaign that put a major focus on affordability and New York City’s high cost of living. It was fueled by a massive grassroots army of supporters and backing from top national progressive champions, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

Mamdani made smart use of social media platforms, including TikTok, as he engaged low-propensity voters. He proposed eliminating fares to ride New York City’s vast bus system, making CUNY (City University of New York) “tuition-free,” freezing rents on municipal housing, offering “free childcare” for children up to age 5 and setting up government-run grocery stores.

Mamdani has been heavily criticized by his rivals for his far-left platform, as well as his verbal attacks on Israel, his past critical comments about the New York City Police Department (NYPD), and his proposal to shift certain responsibilities away from the NYPD and focus on social services and community-based programs.

“Assemblyman Mamdani has promised to focus on keeping every New Yorker safe, including the Jewish community that has confronted a startling rise in antisemitic incidents as well as Black and Latino neighborhoods that have battled deadly gun violence for years,” Jeffries said in his statement on Friday.

Trump, a native New Yorker who now calls Florida home, has derided Mamdani ever since his primary victory as a “communist” and earlier this month came up with a new derogatory nickname.

“I call him my little communist. He’s my little communist mayor,” Trump said during an extended Fox News interview on “Fox and Friends.”

Republicans have worked overtime the past three months to anchor the mayoral nominee to vulnerable congressional Democrats up for re-election in next year’s midterms.

“‘Leader’ Hakeem Jeffries just bent the knee to the socialist left, and now the only place he’s leading his party is down a cold, dark tunnel toward electoral humiliation. Every single Democrat owns the socialist agenda and is now a willing accomplice in their own party’s collapse,” National Republican Congressional Committee national press secretary Mike Marinella told Fox News Digital in a statement.

Jeffries met with Mamdani for the first time in July, with a second meeting last month. While Jeffries praised Mamdani’s affordability emphasis on the campaign trail, neither meeting resulted in an endorsement.

Most House Democrats, including many progressives, have given Jeffries plenty of latitude and have declined to criticize his lack of an endorsement.

Among the exceptions is Ocasio-Cortez, who said earlier this summer that “we use our primaries to settle our differences, and once we have a nominee, we rally behind that nominee,”

Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, a former House Democrat, similarly chastised congressional leaders for failing to rally around Mamdani.

While Jeffries joins Hochul in endorsing Mamdani, New York State Democratic Party chair Jay Jacobs said that he — as an individual — wouldn’t endorse his party’s mayoral nominee.

And Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi, whose suburban swing congressional district includes a small portion of Queens, has previously announced that he wouldn’t support Mamdani.

Rumors of the Friday endorsement earned immediate criticism from Republicans suggesting that Jeffries is succumbing to pressure from his far-left base to endorse Mamdani despite his socialist policies that will certainly become a target during next year’s midterms.

“Hakeem is bending the knee!!!,” Maureen O’Toole, National Republican Congressional Committee Eastern Regional press secretary, posted on X.

Mamdani released a statement on Friday afternoon welcoming the support from Jeffries.

“This campaign has always been about bringing people together to improve the quality of life for every New Yorker,” Mamdani said.

“I welcome Leader Jeffries’ support and look forward to delivering a city government, and building a Democratic Party, relentlessly committed to our affordability agenda — and to fighting Trump’s authoritarianism. Our movement to turn the page on the politics of big money and small ideas grows stronger by the day.”

New York Attorney General Letitia James will appear in federal court in Norfolk, Virginia, Friday morning to be arraigned on a two-count indictment stemming from statements she allegedly made about the nature of a second home she purchased in 2020.

James’ arraignment is the latest in a string of prosecutions brought against the president’s perceived political foes, despite objections from career prosecutors — some of whom have since been fired or resigned.

James was indicted on two federal counts of bank fraud and making false statements to a financial institution.

The indictment stems from her 2020 purchase of a home in Norfolk, Virginia, where prosecutors allege that she misled a bank about the nature of the residence in order to obtain more favorable loan conditions.

James, for her part, has vehemently denied wrongdoing, and is expected to plead not guilty.

“This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system,” James said in a statement after she was indicted.

“These charges are baseless, and the president’s own public statements make clear that his only goal is political retribution at any cost,” she added.

Her indictment, like the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey, was presented to a grand jury by former White House aide Lindsey Halligan, whom President Donald Trump installed as the acting U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia last month.

Trump, in September, said he would install Halligan as the top prosecutor for the Eastern District of Virginia, replacing interim attorney Erik Siebert, who resigned under pressure to indict both Comey and James.

James’ indictment, like Comey’s, has touched off intense backlash and concerns of weaponization within the Justice Department’s ranks during Trump’s second presidential term.

Both cases have both sparked the resignations or firings of several career officials in the Eastern District of Virginia, including in the Norfolk office, where two assistant U.S. attorneys were fired for reportedly voicing opposition to bringing James’ case.

Halligan will be joined in court Friday by a Missouri-based federal prosecutor, Roger Keller, according to court filings.

James’ defense attorney, Abbe Lowell, told the court they have retained the services of Andrew Bosse, a former assistant U.S. attorney based in Norfolk who formerly headed up the office’s criminal division.

The case against James comes after she successfully brought a civil fraud case against Trump last year.

After the arraignment, it is likely that she will file a motion to dismiss her case for vindictive and selective prosecution, following similar steps taken by Comey’s legal team in Alexandria earlier this week.

Lowell, her attorney, has described the case against her as “improper political retribution,” and vowed they would “fight these charges in every process allowed in the law.”

The Justice Department did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment on the case, or whether Halligan or Keller wouldbe joined by any other federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Texas Democrat Jolanda Jones rejected former first lady Michelle Obama’s famous mantra, “when they go low, we go high,” during a CNN interview Wednesday, vowing to fight hard against foes by going “across your neck.”

“If you hit me in my face, I’m not going to punch you back in your face. I’m going to go across your neck,” Jones said on “OutFront,” making a slashing motion across her neck.

“We can go back-and-forth, fighting each other’s faces. You’ve got to hit hard enough where they won’t come back,” she continued.

ERIC SWALWELL REJECTS MICHELLE OBAMA’S ‘WHEN THEY GO LOW, WE GO HIGH’ MESSAGE, VOWS TO ‘BURY’ REPUBLICANS

Jones, a state representative running to fill a U.S. House seat in Houston left vacant after the death this year of Rep. Sylvester Turner, had caught host Erin Burnett’s attention when she told Axios this week that when Republicans go low, “I’m going to the gutter.”

Jones’ broader point was that Democrats had to stop fighting nicely, particularly on the subject of redistricting.

“For the same way, I went to New York and spoke with Gov. Kathy Hochul, and said, ‘If they’re going to try to wipe us out in Texas, we need to wipe out every Republican in New York, in California, in Illinois,'” she said.

“No one can make me feel bad about fighting for the people that I represent, because the people that I represent need someone who’s willing to go in the ring and fight for them, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do,” she said.

Jones claimed Democrats are losing key voting blocs, including Black voters and low-income voters, because those constituents want them to “fight.”

Prompted by Burnett’s mention of Obama’s mantra, Jones insisted President Donald Trump has changed the political landscape so much that the approach no longer works.

“I’ve never subscribed to that [belief],” she said.

“Because in the hood that I come from, when they go low, if you go high, they’re going to take your feet out from under you, and you will not recover from that,” she said.

Jones insisted Democrats must fight like never before, warning viewers that the country is “under attack.”

When reached for comment, a spokesperson for Jones’ campaign provided the following statement to Fox News Digital: “The interviewer asked about the phrase, ‘When they go low, we go high.’ Representative Jones responded with a simple fighting metaphor — nothing more, nothing less. Anyone attempting to read more into it is mistaken.”

The Trump administration is urging sanctuary Democrats to “stop siding with illegal aliens” after a Los Angeles immigrant activist and social media personality rammed ICE agents in attempts to escape arrest, prompting agents to open fire.

Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital that during a targeted enforcement stop on Tuesday, 44-year-old Mexican illegal immigrant Carlitos Ricardo Parias “weaponized his vehicle and began ramming the law enforcement vehicle in an attempt to flee.”

“Fearing for the safety of the public and law enforcement,” McLaughlin said, “Our officers followed their training and fired defensive shots.”

Parias was shot in the elbow, and a U.S. Marshals Service officer was hit in the hand by a ricochet bullet. She said that both were stable and were transported to the nearest hospital to undergo non-life-threatening surgery.

Los Angeles local outlet ABC 7 reported that Parias is a well-known TikTok influencer who regularly follows ICE agents and goes by the moniker “Richard LA.” The outlet also reported that crowds gathered outside the hospital to protest the arrest as well as ICE.

According to McLaughlin, officers had previously encountered Parias, but he had escaped arrest. She said that he entered the country illegally at an unknown date and location and that he has a history of driving without a license, failing to prove financial responsibility, vehicle code violations and resisting arrest.

Now, DHS is pursuing criminal charges against Parias for assaulting, resisting or impeding federal law enforcement.

McLaughlin said that “these are the consequences of conduct and rhetoric by sanctuary politicians and activists who urge illegal aliens to resist arrest.”

“We are once again calling on sanctuary politicians, agitators, and the media to turn the temperature down and stop calling for violence and resistance against ICE law enforcement,” said McLaughlin.

She called out several Democrats who she said have held webinars to provide “resources and tips for how to openly defy ICE.” McLaughlin said that Democrats who have emboldened illegals to attempt to evade ICE include Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom.

TRUMP REVEALS HOW US MILITARY IS GOING TO CRACK DOWN ON DRUG SMUGGLERS ON LAND

A spokesperson for California Gov. Gavin Newsom shot back that it is “the federal government is unnecessarily endangering our law enforcement officers, who, even in this chaos, are trying to do their jobs lawfully and serve their communities.” (Mario Tama)

In response, a spokesperson for Newsom told Fox News Digital that “President Trump and [White House Homeland Security Advisor] Stephen Miller are trying to orchestrate the largest deportation effort in history, disregarding due process and even the safety of U.S. citizens and law enforcement.”

“These aggressive arrests are a PR campaign, using fear and force. They want to manufacture chaos, then blame others,” the spokesperson said, adding, “Trump is forcing the federal government to indiscriminately arrest U.S. citizens through racial profiling, vehicle ramming, and forced entry, then broadcasting these interactions online.”

The spokesperson flipped the script on the Trump administration, saying, “The federal government is unnecessarily endangering our law enforcement officers, who, even in this chaos, are trying to do their jobs lawfully and serve their communities. They are creating fear among hardworking families –our neighbors, colleagues, and friends – who now have a target on their backs because of this administration.”

“Immigration law can be enforced without a message ofterror,” the Newsom spokesperson said.

Fox News Digital also reached out to the offices of Ocasio-Cortez and Bass but did not immediately receive a response.

White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson also weighed in, telling Fox News Digital that “ICE Officers are facing a 1000% increase in assaults because of unhinged rhetoric from activists and Democrat politicians smearing heroic ICE officers.”

“Anyone who assaults or otherwise harms law enforcement officers will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” said Jackson, adding, “Democrats must stop siding with illegal aliens over American law enforcement.”

EXCLUSIVE: While speaking with an undercover journalist last month, a campaign organizer for Democratic governor hopeful Abigail Spanberger raised concerns about her own candidate and said the Virginia election is “in the darkest timeline” between the two nominees.

Fredrica-Maame Ama Deegbe, whose now-deleted Linkedin profile said she was a “Campaign Organizer for Spanberger 2025” for the Democratic Party of Virginia, bemoans the choices presented to voters in a video obtained by Fox News Digital. In the video, she cited concerns about not only Republican candidate Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears but also about Spanberger’s law enforcement background.

“CIA agent, literally, which is crazy, like yeah, vote for the CIA agent, guys, like what the f—,” said Deegbe.

“I don’t know what happened. We’re in, like, the darkest timeline,” she said. “Our only choices are between a Black woman, which ordinarily all for, but this time you think we should bring back slavery, Winsome. … Even with that, it’s like either vote for the Black woman who thinks that slavery should be brought back or vote for the White woman who was in the CIA.”

In spite of these concerns, the Democratic operative said of the Spanberger campaign, “They pay me really, really good money.

“Working on the campaign made me realize that this all a really big pyramid scheme,” Deegbe admitted. “We’re all working for the betterment of not really a person but for what the person represents and what that representation is going to be for the rest of the nation.

“Focusing so much on the representation, it kind of feels like I’m in The Wizard of Oz … like all of this is behind the smoke and mirrors and curtains.

“There’s such a disconnect between the person that we’re voting for, the work that we do, like the numerical aspect of it, like all of it doesn’t feel cohesive, copacetic. It feels like I’m a sales representative.”

Pressed by the undercover journalist on her true views on Spanberger, Deegbe said, “I think she represents the idea. I know she represents the idea as best of an idea as we can find right now.”

Sears and Spanberger, who left the House of Representatives earlier this year, are locked in a tight race with just weeks until the November election. The face-offs are viewed as political bellwethers ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Most polls indicate that Spanberger is enjoying a lead over Earle-Sears. However, Spanberger has been hit with blistering criticisms in recent weeks for refusing to rescind her endorsement of embattled fellow Democratic candidate Jay Jones, who is running for Virginia attorney general.

In recently resurfaced text messages, Jones fantasized about the murder of Republican then-Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert and his young “fascist” children.

Jones texted Del. Carrie Coyner, R-Hopewell, in 2022, imagining a scenario where he would choose to “fire two bullets” into then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert’s head, describing Gilbert as worse than dictators Pol Pot or Adolf Hitler.

Jones also referred to Gilbert’s young children as “fascists” in the exchange.

Fox News Digital reached out to Deegbe, the Democratic Party of Virginia, the Spanberger campaign and the Earle-Sears campaign for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has hinted at another run for president, possibly her strongest indication yet that she may throw her hat back in the ring for commander in chief.

Harris, who was defeated by President Donald Trump in last year’s election, told the BBC she is keeping her options open and dismissed polls that view her as a 2028 outsider. She also branded the president a “tyrant.”

“I am not done,” she told the United Kingdom outlet. “I have lived my entire career as a life of service, and it’s in my bones.”

CNN PANEL SHREDS HARRIS’ COLBERT INTERVIEW FOR HER LACK OF SOLUTIONS AFTER ‘SIX MONTHS TO FIGURE IT OUT’

Harris lost the electoral college to Trump 312-226 and went down by 2.3 million votes in the popular vote. She entered the race as the Democratic primary nominee after President Joe Biden withdrew from the election after a disastrous debate performance.

Since the defeat, Harris kept a low enough profile until the publication last month of her book, “107 Days,” detailing her short, failed presidential campaign. In the book, she argues she had too little time to define her message or distance herself from Biden’s record. She also cited Democrat infighting and a lack of donor confidence.

In her BBC interview, Harris left the door open to another White House run, saying her grandnieces would “in their lifetime, for sure” see a female president.

When asked if that person could be her, she replied, “possibly,” signaling she’s considering another bid.

Harris said she hasn’t made a decision but still sees herself as having a political future.

There is no clear frontrunner to lead the Democrats into the 2028 election, and a potential crowded list of nominees includes California Gov. Gavin Newsom; former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg; Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.; Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz; Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt;, and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, among others.

Harris said she was undeterred by unfavorable polls.

“If I listened to polls, I would have not run for my first office or my second office, and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here,” she said.

The full interview will air on Sunday, but the BBC released excerpts Saturday.

Harris said her concerns that Trump would act like an authoritarian have come true.

KAMALA HARRIS’ DECISION NOT TO RUN IN 2026 OPENS DOOR TO POSSIBLE SECOND PRESIDENTIAL RUN IN 2028

“He said he would weaponize the Department of Justice, and he has done exactly that,” Harris told the BBC.

She pointed to the suspension of late-night comic Jimmy Kimmel by ABC after he made a joke about Republican reaction to the death of Charlie Kirk.

Kimmel’s show was suspended by ABC after Trump-appointed FCC Chair Brendan Carr threatened broadcasters, and the move was celebrated by Trump. Kimmel appeared to falsely suggest the alleged assassin was a MAGA supporter and was brought back on air the following week.

“You look at what has happened in terms of how he has weaponized, for example, federal agencies going around after political satirists. … His skin is so thin he couldn’t endure criticism from a joke and attempted to shut down an entire media organization in the process,” Harris said.

Harris labeled Trump a “tyrant,” accusing business leaders and institutions of cozying up to the president and bowing to his demands.

“There are many … that have capitulated since day one, who are bending the knee at the foot of a tyrant, I believe, for many reasons, including they want to be next to power because they want to perhaps have a merger approved or avoid an investigation,” Harris said.

The White House was dismissive when asked by the BBC for a response to Harris’ comments.

“When Kamala Harris lost the election in a landslide, she should’ve taken the hint. The American people don’t care about her absurd lies,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson told Fox News Digital in a statement. “Or maybe she did take the hint, and that’s why she’s continuing to air her grievances to foreign publications.”
