The Grammy-winning singer revealed on social media she’s stepping away from the concert stage amid a wave of online body-shaming.

“I have decided to step away from performance for the foreseeable future and pursue some other creative and personal endeavors that I feel would better suit this next phase of my life,” Furtado wrote in an Instagram post marking the 25th anniversary of her debut album, “Whoa, Nelly!”

“I have enjoyed my career immensely, and I still love writing music, as I have always seen it as a hobby I was lucky enough to make into a career. I’ll identify as a songwriter forever,” she added.

The Canadian-born artist, best known for early 2000s hits including “I’m Like a Bird” and “Promiscuous,” reflected on her career journey in a nostalgic post celebrating the milestone.

“Twenty-five years ago today, my first album, ‘Whoa, Nelly!’ was released. In the first slide, I am 20 years old, about to play my first show as a professional artist at Lilith Fair,” she recalled. “I went down to a store called ‘Original’ on Queen West in Toronto and bought that pink dress and some sparkly platform shoes to perform in. It was so meaningful, and my artist self felt so actualized.

“Twenty-five years later, my music has reached a whole new generation of fans, and I couldn’t be happier about that.”

The singer expressed gratitude for the resurgence of her music, which has found new life through streaming platforms and social media.

Furtado’s announcement comes just months after she addressed online critics following her bold fashion choices at Manchester Pride. At the time, the “Say It Right” singer hit back at trolls and celebrated her confidence, sending a message of self-acceptance to fans.

This past summer, Furtado wore an oversize white T-shirt featuring a cartoon image of a woman in a crop top and mini skirt while headlining the Manchester Pride festival.

She appeared to wear the shirt as a subtle response to body-shamers and had previously discussed pursuing legal action against online “charlatans.”

Earlier this year, Furtado shared a glowing selfie in an orange bikini and revealed that “body neutrality” was part of her 2025 wellness mindset.

“This year I became aware of the aesthetic pressure of my work in a brand-new way, while at the same time, I experienced new levels of self-love and genuine confidence from within,” she captioned the post.

Furtado also revealed that she recently took a stand against online scammers who were profiting off her name.

“I had to pursue legal action against a few charlatans online selling services based on health and beauty myths about me,” she wrote. “For whoever cares, I have never had any face or body surgeries or augmentation, except for veneers on the top row of my teeth, quite recently.”

The pop singer clarified that she has avoided cosmetic procedures altogether.

Furtado added that she has never had any “face or lip injections or fillers of any kind,” instead crediting her natural glow to simple skincare habits.

“I rely on my old-school facialist, from whom I purchase serums and creams — and I started that when I was 20,” she explained.

During an interview Thursday on the “Today” show, the 63-year-old music icon announced his band, Bon Jovi, will launch its international “The Forever Tour” in July 2026.

While speaking with host Savannah Guthrie, Bon Jovi opened up about recovering from the vocal injury that nearly ended his decades-long career.

“One of my cords was atrophied, and the strong one was pushing the weak one around, and this one was dying,” he shared.

The “Livin’ on a Prayer” hitmaker explained that “40 years of hard work” had strained his vocal cords.

However, Bon Jovi found a surgeon who performed a medialization thyroplasty surgery, a cutting-edge procedure in which an implant was placed on the outside of his vocal cord to rebuild the weakened cord.

“The road’s been long and tough, but I persevered,” he said.

Following the operation, Bon Jovi said he embarked on a lengthy recovery process that included months of rehabilitation, vocal exercises and rebuilding his stamina.

Bon Jovi noted that the injury could have ended his career entirely, telling Guthrie if he was unable to restore his voice to its former strength, he would have given up performing.

“I’m not that applause junkie. I do it for the joy, and I do it for the art,” Bon Jovi said. “The rest of it is great because I’m good at it. But if you couldn’t do it from a place of joy, what’s the motivation?

“I have other things in my life. It’s what I do. It’s not who I am.”

However, he said he was determined to make a full recovery and return to the stage. Bon Jovi explained that he has devoted himself to rehearsing for hours every day in his garage to retrain his voice.

“It’s like training for a marathon,” Bon Jovi said. “Anyone can go for a run. Being able to go the distance is a whole different set of commitment. You have to physically, mentally and spiritually be ready to do that again.”

The Grammy Award winner admitted there were many days he feared he had already performed his final concert.

“And then the next day, there’d be a little ray of hope,” Bon Jovi shared. “The next day was brighter. And until the next time, you get punched in the nose by some setback, you pick yourself up again and do it again.”

Bon Jovi said he now feels ready to perform again at his previous pace.

“I think I can confidently say that I can go and do my 2½ hours, night after night after night,” he said. “But I wouldn’t do it unless it was that.”

Bon Jovi’s interview was conducted inside New York City’s Madison Square Garden, where he will perform his tour’s first concert.

“There are very few people in this world that can carry an arena. I know it’s exciting. Is it also a little scary?” Guthrie asked him.

“Sure, but you know, it’s just, that’s the human element,” he replied. “The good news is that I know that the band have my back and I can guarantee you that every person that will fill this house will be rooting for me.”

On Oct. 24, Bon Jovi released its “Forever (Legendary Edition)” collaboration album, in which the band teamed up with some of the music world’s biggest stars, including Bruce Springsteen, Jelly Roll and Avril Lavigne, to create new versions of songs from a 2024 album.

“It was a joy,” he said of working with the singers featured on the album.

“It was also beautiful, as a songwriter, to hear your songs interpreted by great artists,” he added.

Bon Jovi said kicking off the tour at Madison Square Garden holds special meaning for the band. They made their first appearance at the legendary venue when they opened for ZZ Top in 1983.

“It’s the Garden,” he said. “There’s nothing like it.”

Bon Jovi’s Forever Tour will kick off July 7, 2026, and conclude Sept. 4, 2026, at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Bunnie clapped back and wrote, “It actually takes a stronger woman to face pain head-on, do the work, and rebuild with the man she loves – instead of running or gossiping.”

She added, “Growth isn’t weakness, it’s grace. But not everyone’s built for that kind of strength. I pray you never have to feel that pain bc you’re judging another woman’s life.”

Jelly Roll admitted he stepped out on his relationship during an appearance on the “Human School Podcast.”

“I don’t talk about this publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” he said. “Because it was the first time that I was like, ‘I really can’t get this right at all. I know I’m in love with this woman.’ It just really, really, really blew me back.”

“And I did a lot of work to repair that relationship,” he added. Jelly Roll and his wife married in 2016 and renewed their vows in 2023.

The “I Am Not Okay” singer said he’s proud of the strength of his relationship with Bunnie XO today.

“Like the repair has been special, man. We’re stronger than we could have ever been. And I wish our story would have went in the way that it never had an affair,” Jelly Roll explained. “And I’m in no way glad it happened, but man, I’m proud of who we are today.”

When reflecting on that time in his life, Jelly Roll said he was hanging around people who weren’t a good influence on him.

“I was hanging around a bunch of people that were cheating on their wives,” he said. “When I was doing cocaine, I was hanging around a bunch of people that were doing cocaine.”

“I used to be proud of long-standing friendships just because they had a number attached to them. Horrible humans. But I would just be proud to say, ‘That dude’s been with me 12 years.’ S—-y human!”

It’s unclear when the infidelity occurred, but Bunnie previously acknowledged the couple’s rocky patch in a TikTok caption.

“Who knew that us breaking up in 2018, me moving back to Vegas & you coming to get me back – would have put us on this wild journey called life,” she wrote.

“We finally committed to each other & did everything we promised each other the first night in 2016. Our castle in the sand had to crumble so we could rebuild on solid ground.”

“Open, real, honest communication,” Jelly Roll explained. “We talk about the uncomfortable stuff up front. It’s a real important thing in our marriage.”

He noted that it helps to have a sense of humor when it comes to love.

In April, Boyle, who is from a small Scottish town, reflected on how far she had come since her viral performance on “Britain’s Got Talent,” which took place when she was unemployed.

“16 years ago today, my @bgt audition first aired on UK TV, and my life changed forever!” she wrote along with a video of her performance. “I stepped out onto that stage with absolutely nothing except my dream. That was all I had back then. I was an unknown woman from Scotland, and thanks to all of you, I’m known around the world. Here’s to ALWAYS chasing your dreams!”
